Make no mistakeThe island is there, it's there
for sure.
I made this island
It's an animal sanctuary
where everyone's safe.
Its name is
Be caring and make no mistake.

White ParchmentPiles of white parchment. A new,smoky smell.
Fields of inked works, it makes my heart swell.
The black, unflexed spirals lead on heavens way,
Like minor note keys I’m eager to play.

To find it so tempting, I give in at last.
Hold firm thumb to corner and flick it up fast.
On reaching the edge of the leather-bound cover
I stroke the light spine, so keen to discover.

The tension at peak, first chapter found.
A world is unfolded, your feet find their ground.
And on goes your journey of love and of hate,
For which you find acquaintances, foes, a mate.

Some pieces so memorable, others forgotten.
Drama, romance and action will “hotte

White NoiseAcross the scarred battlefield,
of broken bones, hands that yield,
there walks a man, Carbine in hand,
who stands on bloody ground.

Across the field, of wasted life,
there stands, the soldier's wife,
waiting to receive,
him safe and sound.

These soldiers, keep us free,
they wage the war, pay the fee,
fit or lame, light or dark,
they test their aim,
then make their mark.

A VisitorMy name is irrelevant. I do not exist
Or so all suspect, as they would reject
My story, ears quick to resist.

For once was a world filled with bright light
It spun ‘round this thrown, not unlike your own,
An hour or two carried light.

We differ from you, not by limbs or by hair.
How our bodies form, much is the norm,
Yet our species still cause such a scare.

The truth is our race, though not sparkless,
live as shadows from the gallows,
Our skin mere walls of darkness.

We need not care for food, nor drink, nor goods.
“Acquire the knowledge and go to college”
Is how we lived our livelihoods.

Yellow Brick LifeLife is like a Yellow Brick Road
You begin in a land of munchkins
laughter and joy surround you
then you begin on your own journey
you start off on your own
but meet many friends along the way
some brainless, some heartless, and some without courage
but they stand by you until the end
there will be temptations and challenges
kalidahs and poppies to stop you
but you press on until you feel that emerald glow
until you reach that Emerald City...

Zoo TroublesI saw an elephant eating a grape
And all the while it put on a cape.
I asked what it was doing,
It replied by cooing,
So I went to visit the ape

BEHIND THE SCREEN:Hansel and Gretel: Witch HuntersHonestly right off the back I didn't have very high expectations but it seemed like a cool goth/medieval flick and I enjoy these kinds of films.
And it came through with a totally unexpected and surprisingly detailed storyline.
The characters were cast perfectly. The actor who played Hansel also played as Hawkeye in the Avengers. He did very well, portraying the emotions and details of the character. Gretel was cast excellent as well, but I can't recall any off the top of my head that she was in.
My absolutely favorite part of the movie WAS THE WEAPONS!!
OMIGOSH STEAMPUNK WEAPONS!!! completely out of time period...but they were SOOOOOO cool!! and Gretel's crossbow.... *drools*
Sometimes films like this make me think i was born in the wrong century. I'd have so much fun in that era.
I love the brother-sister interactions and chemistry between them. The writers got the super close relationship without adding some weird sexual element. And Gretel was such a hard-ass, which makes me happy.

Temperatures plummet, but we blaze on

BEHIND THE SCREEN: Rise of the GuardiansOkay first off. This is a definite MUST SEE!!!! Three Thumbs up, six stars and what not. ITS EPIC. (speaking of which i was there and i know i want to see this movie called "Epic" that is coming out this spring.....oh and Iron Man 3)
I even plan on seeing it again soon (most likely with my boyfriend; he's so sweet)
But alas....review time
So Jack Frost is awesome, and embodies every lost teenager that has ever been, including the fun-loving part. North (Santa) is a sword wielding Russian that brings joy to little children. The tooth fairy is awesome with her collecting of teeth, (trying not to give to many spoilers). The Sandman (he doesn't speak) or Sandy as the Guardians call him is hilarious and funny, and yes he gives dreams to children. The Easter bunny is a huge Australian.....i want to say kangaroo, but its like a cross between a bunny and a Kangaroo, oh and he has boomerangs.
I do believe at one point during the movie North shouts "Bunny, Energize!!" and i definitely want to re
